Romantic Valentine's Day Ideas

Valentine's Day is a very important day in a relationship. It is the day where husbands and wives, or two significant others have an opportunity to say "I Love You!" in a special way. This day should definitely be taken with high importance and consideration.

Women melt over this holiday. Even if she is saying that she does not want to do anything out of the ordinary, do not take those words as true. Chances are if you do, she will be hurt or maybe even a little angry. In your eyes this day may seem a little mushy, or maybe not. Either way take this once a year opportunity to spoil her a little bit - she will never forget it.

If you really want to make her happy, surprise her. Pick her up from the office early - arrange it with her boss of course. Her heart is sure to soar when she sees her loved one appear in the office with some flowers to personally whisk her away for a full day of Valentine's celebration.

Make it a special event. If it can be arranged, set up the event for a two-day rendezvous. After you surprised her at the office, take her to a nice hotel, and spend the evening in their suite. Do not worry dinner in this situation. Have something nice delivered to the room for dinner, with a bottle of champagne. Most hotels will not mind spreading rose petals across the comforter, if you ask. This would be a nice touch.

Another great idea would be to just keep it simple. One of the nicest Valentine's celebrations I can recall was a surprising moment. All morning I did not hear one "Happy Valentine's Day!" By the end of my workday, which I cut short on my own, I was so upset that my face must have been beet red.

In my upset, I decided to go to my local sports bar and have a cocktail. If you can imagine my surprise when I walked in to see that all of the tables had a single red rose with a special printed card that red "Our Fist Valentine's Day as Mr. and Mrs......" A couple of tears were soon to follow, and of course instant forgiveness. My husband had arranged to receive a phone call when I arrived. From there evening continued with romantic sunset views and a wonderful dinner.

They key to an unforgettable Valentine's Day is creativity. Surprise her a little bit. Women enjoy a little mystery. Some of the normal tendencies of men are to take her to dinner, send Valentines flowers, candy, and a card. All of these things are great. If you do take her to dinner, keep in mind that there are some classy restaurants that print their menus daily. In many cases, the restaurant will print a special note upon request. And keep whatever you do a secret. She may bug you a bit to find out; stand your ground.

Valentine's Day is a special day for couples. It should be treated this way. Regardless of how the day is spent, make the moments spent with her special ones.
